When it comes to backups of data it is always nice to get an alert of a failed backup. What I like is the monthly report of backups. Even though you feel good the backups are working you still need to simulate a disaster of a server crash in your backup disaster plan.
This backup shows a failure, this external hard drive had an intermittent fault. We replaced the drive and issue was resolved.
